How You Can Support Leeds Breweries During the Pandemic

Updated: Jun 4

Last Updated 04/06/2020 15:22

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a dramatic effect on the beer industry. As of writing, pubs have been closed since 20th March and the knock-on effect has hit breweries hard too. It's impact has also been felt by me, with the cancellation of scheduled Leeds Beer Tours and this year's Festival of Brewers.

This time of crisis has seen many breweries double down and do what they can to survive. Some have built on already established direct to consumer sale platforms, whilst others have very quickly had to completely change how they operate to be able to still sell beer. A few have decided to stay closed and ride it out.

Leeds has an incredible 25 breweries, all of whom need our continued support to hopefully help see them through this crisis. The simplest way to support these breweries is to buy their beer!

Below is a list of breweries (with location in brackets) I have pulled together with information on their delivery/takeout services, or where you might be able to buy their beers elsewhere. Please feel free to get in touch if you have some information that I may have missed out, or if you have spotted an error.

This list is up-to-date as of the above "last updated" date. The best way to see what these brewers are currently doing is to visit their website and social media pages.

I hope you find this list useful and please support your local, independent breweries.
